Construction Safety Director – New York, NY

As the Construction Safety Director, you will oversee TF Cornerstone’s corporate safety program and mitigate owner’s construction risk.  You will work on various projects consisting of new residential buildings as well as renovations of existing buildings, from conception to completion. You will report directly to the EVP of Construction and be responsible to oversee the implementation of the safety program on each jobsite. 
As part of the scope of your job; you will maintain accurate records of safety concerns, develop risk mitigation plans, track OSHA compliance & DOB Site Safety compliance, provide recommendations to prevent and/or resolve safety violations, perform follow-up investigations of jobsite accidents, accompany insurance company on periodic inspections, respond and follow up on recommendations provided by the insurance company and participate in weekly jobsite safety meetings.   
A typical project will start with a review of the construction documents (drawings, specifications, construction, and design agreements) for completeness and best practices.  Once construction commences, you will conduct daily site visits.

Construction Safety Director Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of safety concerns

Construction Safety Director Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Certification as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired
  • 5 to 9 years construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience
  • NY Site Safety License and 40 hour OSHA Certificate required
  • Thorough knowledge of  NY and Federal OSHA regulations
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types
  • Motivated, Ambitious, Self-Starter
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

Residential Building Doorperson Job Description


A Manhattan-based luxury real estate company has an immediate opening for an experienced doorperson in a luxury 500 unit rental building in Long Island City, Queens. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a doorperson of a residential building or in a related security position and will possess strong customer service skills.


Responsibilities include enforcing building security, greeting residents, screening and announcing guests, receiving and sorting a large number of packages, answering phones, and entering information into the building communication system.


Doorperson Position Requirements

  • Three (3) years or more of Doorperson or Security experience (residential building experience is preferred).  
  • Ability to speak and write clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven customer service skills and experience.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work with other staff members and to take direction from supervisor.
  • Some heavy lifting may be required.
  • Must have flexible work availability.
  • Basic computer skills.
